Shyam Awasthi
An astute professional with over three decades of experience in the financial industry. Mr. Awasthi moved across various international banks like Citibank, Deutsche Bank in different functions and at Senior Levels. In the year 2009, Mr. Awasthi decided to go independent and bought over an NBFC Shaha Finlease Pvt Limited. With Private funding and assistance, he put his expertise and the country saw its first of its kind of deal. Mr. Awasthi bought over debts from a leading international bank and built his business across it. He is the pioneer of the NPA Debt Syndication business of this country.
Mohan Poojary
An astute businessman with more than two decades in catering to Financial Institutions in the country for their Debt Management functions. He has single-handedly built an organization that started with a small team of 10 members at Mumbai to a robust team size of 800 + with offices across the country under the brand name Vaishnavi Management Pvt Limited (VMPL). VMPL is currently one of the biggest collections and debt recovery channel partners to all the major financial institutions across the country. Apart from this Mr. Poojary also has multiple lines of business ranging from Beauty Salons under the brand of Fusion Studios, Fitness Studios under the brand of Indus Fitness Edge and Restaurants and Kitchen under the brand of Fisherman’s Cove and a Credit Society Vaishnavi Credit Co-operative Society which majorly caters to the financial needs of the Debt Management Executives across Mumbai City.
Ravikant Shekar Anchan
A Seasoned professional with over two decades of in-depth experience across Collection and Debt Management. He has a rich experience in setting up debt management businesses for various institutions. He has built and managed big sized teams. He has been consulting few major PSU’s and new financial institutions on their Debt Management business set up . He has successfully set up Robust Tele calling and Field Setup for providing service to many Financial institutions in his earlier roles. He was one of the first trainers imparting the Debt Management Training to the Collection Industry. Before SFPL, he was the Head of Resolution for Reliance Asset Reconstruction Company Limited and has held senior positions with organizations like Yes Bank, Capital First, Serco, Cholamandalam DBS, ICICI Bank, Kotak Bank. He was instrumental in setting up and managing the Debt Management Business in these organizations. He was
Ravi holds a graduation degree from Mumbai University and is an alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute of Management – Lucknow and holds a Certification in General Management from IIM-L.
Aneish Kumar
Aneish Kumar was until recently the Managing Director and Country Manager of The Bank of New York Mellon in India. He was with BNY Mellon since 1998.
Based in Mumbai, Mr Kumar was leading the development and implementation of the Bank’s strategies for India and Asia with a focus on strengthening and broadening local client relationships across all business lines. He served as the company’s primary face to the market, the media and clients, including being the primary representative with the regulators and oversees the company’s efforts on employee engagement and talent management.
Mr Kumar has over 38 years of cross-functional expertise in banking and financial services – ranging from commercial, retail, corporate, international business and Leasing.
He has been a speaker at various international seminars and also guest faculty at the Staff Training Colleges of banks, Indian Institute of Management, Indian Institute of Bankers, Bankers Training College, and National Institute of Bank Management.
Mr Kumar has written and published articles in several local and International financial publications on a variety of topics, also an author of two books.
Mr Kumar is one of foremost speakers in banking industry on motivation and vision, with more than 2000 speaking hours under his belt. His presentations have been known for cultivating passion in everything one does. His life experiences have enriched his endeavours and given him a unique perspective that he is now offering to the aspiring students, industrialists and career bankers.
He is also a gifted artist who enjoys painting in a realistic style in all mediums – from oil, acrylic, and charcoal and water colour. Played cricket in his younger days at University and State level. Loves to sing and enjoys theatre.
For educational qualification Mr Kumar holds an MBA in Finance and another one in International Business, also has specialization in Leasing and Aircraft Financing from US.
